REQUIREMENTS
THINGS TO AVOID
Web images are predominantly low-resolution (72–96 DPI) GIF or JPEG files. This resolution is not acceptable for printing. Do not save images or graphics from a website to use in your print project!
Upsampling occurs when a low-resolution image is saved at a higher resolution without changing its dimensions. Upsampling adds more pixels or dots per inch (DPI), but it often results in blurry images, blocky colors, and increased contrast. The only way to truly improve resolution is by decreasing the image size or by recapturing the image at a higher setting.
